Outsider/Folk Art- Priscilla Cassidy "The Homerun". Paint on board, signed, 19 1/2" x 25", framed 23" x 28 1/2". Priscilla was born in 1935 in Cartersville GA. She attended school in Georgia and Ohio, where she finished the 9th grade. Although she was interested in art as a teenager , it was not until 1984 she began to pursue art as a hobby. She was foremost a memory painter whose themes ranged from schoolyard depictions to the Ku Klux Klan. Religion played and important role in her life and in her paintings. Her religious paintings include scenes from both the old and new testimate. She framed her paintings herself and painted on plywood with latex house paint. She was included in the exhibition "Outsider Art: An Exploration of Chicago Collection " in 1996. She passed in 1999
