Description

ENGLISH PORCELAIN YELLOW-GROUND BOUGH POTS AND COVERS, PAIR, each D-shaped with molded lower portions to their front side, painted with colorful bouquets in shaped cartouches with gilt borders, and with florettes to the molded sections, the stepped covers with gilt detailing around the everted lips to the tri-pierced central section. Unmarked. Attributed to Coalport. Circa 1810-1820. 6 1/2" H, 8" W.
Provenance: From a Virginia private collection.

Condition

Pots in very good condition, one back with very light crazing. One cover with chips to rims of bulb piercing, other with a section absent, and a hairline to one rim of bulb piercing. Minor gilding wear throughout.
