CHINESE PORCELAIN TWO SIMILAR SMALL SCALLOPED DISHES OR BOWLS, the shoulders above the incurvate cavetto, on low feet, painted in blue with cell-and-diaper and reserved flowerhead borders, the wells with double blue lines enclosing birds in repose, in flight and at cliff's edge, among stylized foliage. Unmarked. Possibly Chongzhen Period, 17th century. 1" H, 5 1/2" D.

Very good condition, one with a firing tear, both with stained edges as manufactured. Some roughness to edge. One with a short flaw in production to the well.
