Two felt appliquéd wall hangings, Ottoman, circa 1900, both with foliate prayer arches, one with central ivory field, the other replaced with crimson velvet, each approx 188 by 110cm and 182 by 115cm (2)

• Panel 1 – cream felted wool ground is rather grey at the upper and lower borders. It needs re-stitching in the central field. Slight moth damage in the blue ‘vase’ area. Appliques are generally good. Lacking some fringes. • Panel 2 – centre and edge replaced in red velvet and green damask (vase area). Dark discolouration top left corner. Embroidery is generally good – some balding to strapwork particularly around edges of central medallion. Grey wool appliques have worn at base of ‘vase’. Some wear to appliques but mainly good.
