Description
After Ludwig Wilhelm Heupel-Siegen (German, 1864-1945). A hand painted porcelain plaque depicting two medieval period lovers standing on a veranda overlooking a mountainous landscape and waterway, the female in white robes leaning against her partner dressed in crimson suit with black cape holding one of her hands in his own and wrapping other arm around her shoulder. Signed to verso of plaque "Arif Berg Katz after L.W. Heupel". Marked to verso of plaque "Made in German" in red. Framed approximately 11.75" x 9.75". Plaque approximately 6.25" x 4.25". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
