Description
Probably Italian, 1950s. Painted chalkware figural lamp modeled as a classically robed female holding up a fruit and floral filled cornucopia, presumably Pomona, The Goddess of Fruit. The figure is standing on a naturalistic molded base with leafy foliage, a pan flute and water spilling from an overturned pitcher. The cornucopia is surmounted by a bronze colored metal collar issuing the large orange with gilt ball globe. Approximate height 60", base diameter 12".
