Description
French, first quarter 20th century. French Neoclassical style boudoir, parlor or table lamp with Loetz or Quezal style art glass dome shade enclosing 6 sockets and supported by the circulet with is decorated with four rows or gilt laurel leaves with hand tied red berries and mounted to the undersize with matching art glass shade, the whole on three fluted lion monopodia, the knee of each mounted with laurel leaf swag rings and terminating on paw feet centered with a foliate and berried finial on a concave tripartite base. Glass shades are apparently unmarked. Approximate height 26", width 16", diameter of top shade 12.5".
Condition
Overall good condition. Some of the hand wired berries appear to have been recently re-tied with newer wire. There is oxidation, staining, minor scratches and some scuffing to the gilt finish (see image #5). The art glass shades are in good condition with scattered included bubbles(under surface); no cracks or repairs noted.
