Description
American, late 19th/ early 20th century. An Art Nouveau sterling silver deposit or overlay cranberry glass decanter of bottle form with intricate swirling foliates in silver with grape leaves and bunches and a central monogram medallion inscribed "G", with hexagonal colorless glass stopper with further sterling overlay inscribed to top "1877-1902". Marked to underside of bottle on silver "Sterling Silver Deposit 411G". Stopper unmarked. Overall approximate height 13.25", diameter of foot 6.25". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
