Staffordshire: This piece bears an overall craquelure. There areas of pigment loss or overglaze loss throughout the chest, neck, and back. The remainder of the piece sustains pen-tip spots of pigment loss throughout as well as areas of gilt loss. The figure bears various spots of residue buildup. The underside is scuffed and lightly chipped as a result of resting on a surface. Josephine: The figure bears approximately five pin-tip spots of darkened material to its front. The base bears spots of gilt loss throughout as well as a light scuffing to its underside. The piece also bears a medium amount of dust buildup. Napoleon: The figure sustains approximately three areas of shallow scuffing to his head as well as one 1/2" scuff to the back of his shoulder. The base bears spots of gilt loss throughout. The underside of the base is slightly scuffed as a result of resting on a surface and sustains a 1/4" chip to one corner. The piece bears a medium amount of dust buildup.
