Both are hand-made albums of heavy card stock boards with string binding, both circa 6 x 8 inches. All the photographs are silver gelatin copy photos of earlier albumen images. The copies are circa 1910-20 of 1870-80 albumens. There are 21 photographs most are circa 4 x 6 inches and all have inked inscription identifying the subjects. Some of the inscription include: First Mail Sled Old Shelton Store; Old Shelton Homestead; Houghton (a street scene with 10 building identified); Bridge Corner Houghton; Ferry Niagra; Old wooden Bridge across Portage River 1875; Foley Bros. Store; and more. There are several more street scenes with most building labeled.
