Description
Both early silver gelatin photographs, including a 4 x 5 inch photo of 16 African American gentlemen standing in front of a stone doorway that has "State/University" carved above. All of these men are well dressed, many sporting pocket watches and chains, two with some unknown medal on chest. Most appear to be in their 30-50's and judging from the clothing the photo is circa 1890's. The second photo is a real photo post card of two African American children seated on steps of a home, flanking a caucasion child, all are male. This image is circa 1900-1910.
