A.L.S., Adelaide, four pages, 8vo, Windsor Castle, 14th August n.y., to 'My dear Brother'. The Queen sends her heartfelt thanks for her correspondent's kind congratulations on the occasion of her birthday 'as well as for the beautiful bracelet you were so kind as to send me, which gives me great pleasure & is admired by every lady' and further remarks 'I assure you I shall wear it often in remembrance of your friendship which I value highly'. The Queen also states 'The King desires me to repeat to you the message he sent you by your daughter, that he would be delighted to offer the use of Kew House to you should you wish to spend the summer there'. A charming letter with good association. Some light dust staining to the final page, only very slightly affecting the text and signature, and with a couple of minor, neat splits to the edges of the folds, otherwise about VG. £80-100
