Second half 19th century, the hinge stamped ''Paris'' and ''HD'' with an anchor, the outset rectangular top over a burl-veneered and fruitwood-inlaid cornice centered by a hand-painted porcelain floral medallion within a gilt-bronze surround, above a single glazed cabinet door enclosing a velvet-lined two-shelf interior, raised on turned toupie feet, with key, 42.5'' H x 30'' W x 13.25'' D, est: $800/1200

Condition
Overall good condition. General scuffs, nicks, scratches, shrinkage cracks to verso panel and cracking to veneer commensurate with age. Scattered losses to brass molding around base; the largest area approximately .25'' x 5''. An approximately 4.5''-long crack and repair to left side panel beneath cornice. Repairs to legs and feet; two feet with later-added extenders.
