Description
Central Europe, probably Germany, ca. 16th century CE. A superb and quite rare iron door knocker. Hand-forged in the shape of a dragon with stippled head, long neck, wings curved above its body and long serpantine tail that swings from the door attachment. Such a fun and rare example! Custom mount. Size: 13-1/4"L.
