The elephant stands four-square, his trunk raised and supporting a cluster of fungus from which emerges the candle pricket, below which suspends a leaf and lingzhi pendant. The elephant is decorated throughout with archaistic and imperial motifs against a blue ground. His ornate saddle blanket depicts dragons and fierce chilong.

Condition

In overall good condition with minor wear and minor pitting. Minor surface scratches. No major dents, no apparent restorations.
