Item Details
Description
Roman, ca. 200 to 300 CE. This small figure is a nude bearded man with a raised arm. Small bronze statues such as this one would have been common in non-elite households and were probably copies of larger, more famous pieces that were mass produced in workshops for the domestic market. The lead base may have been added at a later date or may be original. Size: With custom stand, the figure is 3 1/2" tall, 2" at its widest point, and 1 1/2" deep.
