Description

A Collection of Whimsical New York City-Themed 'Show Girl' Costumes from the Woody Allen Film "Bullets Over Broadway." Miramax, 1994. Nine total, all identical, made of gold silk, black velvet, and other materials, sleeveless, ruffled skirt portion, appliqués on front and back depict skyscrapers and martini glasses spelling out the five boroughs [Manhattan, Bronx, Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens], decorative sequins and beading throughout, interior support garments built within, handwritten notations in black felt-tip ink on linings note the dancers' names; together with nine matching hats primarily made of beads with a crescent moon form dangling from the center; worn by the dancers as they portrayed showgirls in the nightclub scene at the beginning of the Woody Allen film; identical to the one main star Jennifer Tilly wears.
