Victorian burl walnut cylinder rolltop desk the rectangular top with wooden gallery over a cylinder roll revealing a pull out tooled leather writing surface with three false drawers and five arcaded letter slots flanked by stacks of three small drawers, standing on two 3-drawer pedestals. One drawer stamped, "Maker Widger Plymouth," probably cabinet maker John A. Widger of 181 Union Street, Plymouth, U.K. and another drawer with pencil signature and date 1869 on the underside, probably the name of original owner.
