Ai tou Agiou Paulou Epistolai Apokalupssis [ graece ], i.e., part 2 only, of 2, Greek text, device on title and at end, ruled in red throughout, colophon f. torn, corner restored, upper margin trimmed, occasionally touching headlines, copious early marginalia, most trimmed, early ownership inscriptions, some in Greek script, on last 2 ff., nineteenth-century notes on free endpapers, bookplate, eighteenth-century calf, worn, joints cracked, front cover all but loose, [Adams B1656; D. & M. 1546; Mortimer, French, 74], 8vo, Paris, R. Stephanus , 1546. The second part only of the first Stephanus Greek New Testament, the first book printed in Garamond's 'cicéro' font of 'grecs du roi'. Provenance: Robert and Margaret Dudley, Greek names at end, just possibly Elizabeth I's favourite, Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester (1532-1588); Richard William Binns F.S.A., bookplate.
