Sweeney Brothers, Indiana, age unknown, possibly later recasts, each with massive shell-form bowl over a tripod base with eagle's head, scroll, shell and leaf decoration, 49 x 47 in. several paint histories with extensive flaking, rust and surface weathering, some later sealer at joints under urn, other surface flaws and distress consistent with outside use. Notes: A nearly identical urn with stamped signature on base "M. A. Sweeney and Bro. Jeffersonville, Ind." sold Brunk Auctions, September 6, 2008, lot 192.
