We are very pleased to offer this magnificent handmade Victorian style doll dress with matching bonnet plus a vintage doll gown for your consideration. The dress is long sleeved with a empire waist and full skirt. This stunning dress's base fabric is an almost iridescent shade of dark lavender and is covered and layered in embroidered mesh lace, with very nice lattice trestles in a floral motif. There is a wide lace collar that stands out over the top of the shoulders and ends in a long V point. A pretty bouquet of silk flowers and ribbon is attached in the center. The neck has a stand-up mesh ruffle and trimmed in gold edged ribbon. The empire waste has a wonderful trim that features hanging multi-colored balls. The hem of the skirt has a 6.5 inch embroidered mesh lace ruffle with lattice trestles making scallops around the full skirt. The lace over-skirt is pointed and trimmed in rainbow colored, gold edged ribbon. The lace covered puffy sleeves have a 2 inch wide lace ruffled cuffs, and rainbow colored gold edged ribbon bows on each. The back has a gorgeous attached ribbon trimmed embroidered mesh lace bow. This dress is 6 inches across shoulders, the underarm seam is 6 inches including ruffle, the overall length is 18 inches and it has a two snap back closure. The wired bonnet is also outstanding, done in the same fabric and lace as the dress. There are two wires in the brim and four wires support the cap. The brim is very nicely decorated with gold edged ribbon ruffle and ribbon and silk flowers, two flowers have pearl centers. There is a large lavender fabric bow on the back of the brim, and it has a ribbon tie closure. The face opening is about 11 inches and the brim is about 3.5 inches tall at the tallest point. Some of the materials used in creating this beauty are vintage and some antique, the workmanship is amazing. Also included is a pretty thin white cotton gown with excellent lace panels and embroidered drawn work. It has center darts that start at the point of the bodice lace. The neck and cuffs are trimmed in lace. The hem of this gown is curved in the front and has a .75 inch wide lace trim. There is one button at the top of neck back. And one button is missing. It measures 9.5 inches across shoulders, the underarm seams are 3.5 inches long and the overall length is 17 inches.
