Condition consistent with age. Approximately 12 inches of gilt and gesso is now lacking from the frame, especially along the lower left corner. Slight craquelure is seen just above the horizon. A two centimeter chip, with likely inpainting, is noted along the right side of the scene, partially covered by the frame. Two similar pea-sized areas are seen just below and on the upper left. Later varnish is apparent throughout and a small black streak is noted in the treetops. Several orange spots are observed on the back. Examined within frame under UV light. A pleasing scene.
