Two Staffordshire Animal Figures, 19th c., one of a sheep, the other a goat, Sheep- H.- 7 in., W.- 4 1/8 in., D.- 3 in.
Condition
Sheep: As found. Mild crazing is observed, with some areas of flea-sized bubbling to the glaze noted. A ¼ inch loss to glaze and paint decoration is seen to the tree branch behind the lamb, with apparent losses to the other branch noted. Goat: Condition consistent with age and use. Mild crazing is observed. ½ inch and smaller losses to paint decoration are observed throughout the green base. A slight separation is noted between the front legs and the base. An interesting pair.
