The lady's writing desk with kingwood and mahogany veneers throughout, Mansard-style veneered molding to apex, below to gilt bronze trim, satyr, leaf, and acorn mount to case shoulders, doors with gilt trim and foliate Rococo-style embellishments to corners and escutcheons, two shelf interior behind glass door panels, below to two drawers with gilt scrolling handle mounts flanked by inverted hanging acanthus leaf garlands, milled foliate band to writing surface edge, gilt floral mounts to leg shoulders flanking central drawer, serpentine apron with scrolled shell mounts, terminating on cabriole legs with gilt sabots to feet.

Missing bands of veneer beneath drawers, age-related cracking to veneer, some warping to gilt trim, lower drawer does not open, otherwise displaying general wear.
