The lady's cabinet with kingwood and mahogany veneer to body, raised chamfered lid with painted porcelain plaque insert, gilt egg and foliate banding to edge, to case with foliate gilt mounts to shoulders, front with central painted porcelain plaque of two exotic birds framed by ribbon and foliate border, crown and Sèvres-style scrolling mounts to sides of case, lid lifts to reveal mirror interior to cloth lined compartment, front door opens forward to reveal embossed gilt leather writing surface to underside, five maple-front drawers to interior with additional open compartment, case on cabriole legs with gilt mounts to shoulders, handle mounts to apron, terminating with gilt banding down to hooved saboted feet.

Lock mechanism does not work, retains original key, dulling to gilt, regluing, addition of modern screws for stabilization to underside othewise presenting general wear commensurate with age.
