Pre-Columbian, West Coast Mexico, Colima region, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. Large/attractive vessel has bulbous base with flared spout covered in deep red slip, outer shoulder decorated in two registers of flowers - possibly tomato flowers. Size: 10"W x 6"H (25,4cm x 15,2cm).
Provenance: Ex-private Houston, TX collection acquired locally at auction or art gallery between 1983 and 1995.
