Description

The following treasure is from the living estate of Ailene & Buddy Ford; noted dealers and lifelong collectors of exceptional antique & vintage heirlooms The AEAA is proud to present this next Antique Stove an exceptional all original find. This toy cook stove is called the RIVAL stove, embossed on the front in raised letters, along with ornate scrolling details in the cast iron. Made by J&E Stevens of America. This stove is nickel plate over cast iron. On the backside of the stove there is a patent date of, July 30, 1895. Die cast stove with ornate burner covers and handles, bread oven with cover, large front door, plus opening firebox door , log stop & tilting ash grate. Also grill for the ash dump tray. 2 sliding door riser , and cast iron teapot. *** Weight: 18# 8oz - Measurements: 18 x 7 x 13 Tall *** Toy stoves were a common play item for girls from about 1890 through the 1930s.
