6th-9th century AD. A mixed group of iron single-edged knife blades comprising: a broad 6th-7th century blade fragment with scoped edge; a slender triangular-section 6th-7th century blade; a similar blade of 8th-9th century date; two short 8th-9th century blades with clipped points; a broad 8th-9th century blade with curved profile and long tang; each with a findspot note; sold together with a Roman period (3rd century) broad blade with wide tang. 308 grams total, 12-22.5cm (4 3/4 - 8 3/4").
