Description
A selection of three late 19th to early 20th century 15ct gold gem-set bar brooches. To include a diamond single-stone brooch, a blue topaz and split pearl brooch and a split-pearl heart-shape motif brooch. One with hallmarks for Chester, 1903. Lengths 4.9 to 3.8cms. Weight 8.6gms.
Condition
Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear and age. Each with a base metal replacement pin. Blue topaz light blue, moderate saturation, with good clarity and typical inclusions. Split pearls fairly well matched in one brooch. Split pearls vary in colour to one brooch from white to dark silvery grey. Gems in good to fair condition with some abrasions to the surfaces. Estimated diamond weight less than 0.10ct. Diamond fairly bright and lively. Light and dark coloured inclusions can be seen with magnification. Diamond in good condition with minor abrasions. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate and full colour and clarity assessment. Two stamped 15ct. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones.
