George R. Cummings (British, b. 1932- ), "Endurance"-2003, oil on masonite board, signed and dated lower left. Maritime painting depicting rough waters with a large ship at left foreground, white capped waves and glaciers at right with seagull flying low at waters edge. Two labels on verso--one with "Shackleton's "Endurance" Weddell Sea", the other with "George R. Cummings 19 Blackford Hill View Edinburgh EH93HD". Framed approximately 35.25" x 57.25". Unframed approximately 24" x 48".
