Description
Circle of Gustave Bayol (French/ American, 1859-1931). A late19th century hand carved figural cat as a carousel seat, the white cat with perky ears and yellow glass eyes being in leaping form with front legs in air and head turned slightly to side wearing a green and red polychromed integral saddle and maroon harness with green tied bows at back of neck and above wavy tail, the body with d shaped iron rings below either side of saddle and also mounted to forked iron stand for display. Approximately 30.5" tall, 37" wide, 15.875" deep.
