Description
American,19th century. Pair of two matching Federal style gilt and patinated bronze two-light wall sconces, each with seated feathered eagle in gilt at top with laurel leaf swag in mount and three arrows above a rounded black orb with two upswept tubular arms leading to two wax guards below gilt gadrooned accent below later electrified candle cups, sockets marked "BRYANT". Glass hurricane shades surrounding lamps with white ceramic faux candle covers. Approximate height 12.125", width 10", depth 5.125". Provenance: From the Estate of Sam & Florence Inman, Atlanta, Georgia.
