Description
Likely English, 18th century (circa 1720-1740). A walnut and parcel gilt looking glass, the frame comprising a scroll top pediment with central carved gilt Prince of Wales feathers surmounting a cyma reversa molding framing a carved gilt liner with upper cavetto corners, all over a serpentine shaped apron terminating in scrolls. Metal ring at back for hanging. Approximate height 32.75", width 18.5", depth 1". Provenance: From the Estate of Henry G. Muecke Jr., Atlanta, Georgia.
