Contains 20 individual pieces of piano music, but interleaved throughout are 76 full page advertisements for businesses in Philadelphia. 32.5x26 cm. (12¾x10 ¼"), full straight-grain red morocco with elaborate gilt borders and lettering.



Notable for the advertisements as well as the music. Some of the advertisements have woodcut illustrations, but most are purely typographic. Most all the major Philadelphia business are there, including Lacey, Meeker & Co. Saddlery; Claxton, Bookseller & Publisher; Cihon, Artist & Photographer; Wanamaker & Brown; Willcox & Gibbs Sewing Machines; Hoskins & Co. Stationers & Engravers; a handful of insurance companies and many others.
