Sergio Bustamante (Mexican, b. 1942- ). "Sun in Hands", polychromed papier mache, edition 88/100, signed and numbered to side of head. A paper mache sculpture depicting an orange sun with many purple to pink to orange undulating rays to edges, the sun with a human face at center bearing a slight smile on full lips, the sun sculpture surmounting an ovular purple pedestal with two human arms acting as support shaft, the arms with flame decoration. Overall approximately 27.75" tall, 19.5 wide, 8.125" deep.

Small dimple on forehead, scratches on right upper side of face. Small speck of paint loss on lower left side of face. None of the above are distracting. One sunburst ray is damaged (see image #9), one sunburst with small flea bite. One the back of sculpture there is a hole and crease puncture (see image #4 & #10).
