Broughton Manchester / Frank Gore / The Antiquary / 78 & 80 Waterloo Road, South Shore / Blackpool; also / 4 Trafalgar Street; Lower Broughton / Manchester'', constructed of oak primary with various fruitwood inlay, the outset rectangular top inlaid to facing corners ''ES / A'' and ''ido/i0(?)'' and suspending turned spherical pendants, over two short marquetry-inlaid cupboard doors centered by a conformingly inlaid panel enclosing an open interior, over an outset lower structure faced with two stacked rows of similarly arranged and marquetry-decorated cupboard doors and panels, with forged iron pulls and hinges, 65'' H x 61.75'' W x 24.5'' D, est: $1500/2500
Condition
With bowing to top and added reinforcements to interior. General scratches, gouges, scattered breaks, losses, repairs, shrinkage cracks and separation at joints commensurate with considerable age. Scattered losses and replaced elements to inlay. Evidence of woodworm.
