Description
DESCRIPTION:Hand painted figural porcelain capodimonte. Features a superb vibrant scene of a royal noble woman wearing an elegant dress being held up by a servant being greeted to mount a luxurious chariot topped with a crown surrounded by two infants. The superb detaling pervades in the floral decorations surrounding the peice as well as the hand painted earth the scene was constructed on. Peice also features four horses, a chariot driver, and two noble men greeting the regal woman. Marked with the Capodimonte Crown and Neopolitan N Mark which is associated with the second Capodimonte factory established in Naples by King Charles VII’s son, Ferdinand. This stamp was used from 1771 until the factory closed in the early 1800s.
