Pair of Japanese Meiji Period photographs. First is a sepia toned, gelatine silver print that depicts a traditional Japanese shrine or large dwelling built up on high walls of laid stone and marked "TOKIO". The second is a sepia toned gelatine silver print, depicting a Kyoto shrine on the edge of a pond and is marked "KINKAKUDJI". Both are dry mounted on large folio page from a larger album; Ex libris: George Fales Baker, M.D. Images measure: 9.5" x 7.5" and folio paper backing measures: 17" high x 12.25" wide. Very good condition on photos. Backing is discolored and has loss and/or discoloration.
