Description
Pre-Columbian, Honduras, Ulua Valley, ca. 500 to 900 CE. Lovely brightly decorated pottery tripod olla. Corseted jar on three slab feet, painted in vibrant orange, red and black with lower band featuring two lords in ornate feathered headdresses, top and lower bands with four serpentine creatures. Once covered in stucco, now showing white bands remaining around rim and on shoulder. Size: 6-1/2"in diameter x 4-5/8"H.
