A CHINESE UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND WHITE PAINTED BOTTLE FORM WINE EWER, SHIPWRECK CARGO, POSSIBLY EARLY 19TH CENTURY, of kendi bottle form, with a rounded everted rim on a cylindrical neck centering elongated auspicious blossoming stems, above a basket weave banded collar over a garlic bulb form spout with stylized fruiting peach branch decoration, on a bulbous body with sides depicting elaborately enameled long tail feathered phoenix strutting amidst scrolling vines filled with variously sized plump grape clusters, raised on a short conforming foot framing a glazed underside.
