Description

A Very Fine Ming Blue and White Hexagonal Porcelain Moon Flask, of tapered hexagonal shaped, narrow straight neck to the rim, raised on oval flared foot ring. Two archaistic scrolling ribbons flanked from shoulder to the neck created handles. The main body decorated with handpainting of quails and alternatively on reverse showing ducks in landscape scene, encircled by a band of trailing lotus blossoms, the sides with similar floral bands, bordered with repeated key fret patterns under the mouth.
Mark on Base, Six blue seal script -ZhuanShu- characters, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing.
