Description
Three rare and differing variants of the game of "Dr. Busby" with color playing cards and color labels. (1) "Dr. Busby" No. 4184 by Milton Bradley, Springfield, Mass. c.1905 with Busby surrounded by lab bottles, containing instructions and cards depicting startling caricatures of people as animals; some racist. (2) Also M.B. No. 4184, but an earlier c.1890 version "The Game of Dr. Busby" with Busby as a traditional MD with a bag & umbrella, containing a number of color cards with similar imagery to above, but older. (3) No. 4379 "The Game of Dr. Busby" with Busby carrying a bag & umbrella, but a later version with a Model-A car (?) behind him. C.1910-1920s with instructions and several much more toned-down color cards. All three with expected minor wear in good to VG cond.
