As a screenwriter for MGM, Wilder discusses his work and an adaptation of his ”Dark Angel”. In small part: ”…I know what you think of me for hurrying out here…But it was at double the salary…had my first conference with Mr. Goldwyn on the treatment I did fort the talkie revival of The Dark Angel. He’s pleased with it…Big social life. Night before last Helen Hayes…went to dinner at Adrian’s…he did impersonations of his clients…Joan Crawford, Garbo, etc…had a wonderful hour and a half with Dietrich…she was studying with Carl Flesch…I am on guarantee for four weeks…”.
