Description
Any person who has ever considered buying a compound interest treasury note can attest to how difficult it is to find a pleasing example. Most everything has significant issues like repairs, missing pieces, or other compromising condition factors. Fortunately though, the note being offered here, while bearing the apparent designation for minor rust, is completely free or restoration or any distracting problems. This note turned up in western Michigan and was sent to us completely as found and that is how we are selling it today - fresh and original from the weeds. The specialists should take note that this piece is missing the treasury department overprint stamp that would normally be over the red spiked treasury seal. This is currently not a recognized Fr number variety, but it is unquestionably worth examining. This is the type of variety that is regularly getting added to the standard guide as these small engraving differences are discovered by collectors with a trained eye.
