SILVER U.S. ARMY FRANKFORD ARSENAL STADIA MEDAL, a U.S. Army Regimental Prize of 1858, in leather case; the flat rectangular body with rounded ends, with a triangle cut-out to middle, and hourglass-form slide; finely engraved with stylized scrolling foliate and floral decoration to slide and rounded ends, with graduated ranges marked above the cut-out to each face, one face designated "Cavalry 98.43 in." and the other face designated "Infantry 70.86 in." Marked "U.S. / Stadia" and "FRANKFORD / ARSENAL" and "GEO. W. SIMONS & BRO / MAN.FRS PHILA." George W. Simons & Brother, Philadelphia, PA. 1858-1860. 5 5/8" x 1 3/4".
