The jadeite snuff bottle is of rectangular form, the stone of mottled russet with apple green inclusions and russet veining with relief carved decoration depicting a pine tree, raised on a recessed rectangular foot ring. The jadeite stopper cover is mounted in gilt metal with a gilt metal spoon, also with apple green inclusions.








The bottle is in overall good condition with natural fissures to the stone and a possible small nick chip to the mouth rim; slightly rough hewn edge to the sides of the foot ring. Minor compressions and tarnish to the gilt metal, the spoon slightly loose and askew, with traces of glue around the metal collar.
