Item Details
Description
Diameter 6 1/2 in., H 2 5/8 in. This is an authentic Chenghua Period (1465-1487) daucai palace bowl. This piece is believed to be excavated from the underground storage because it has heavy soil stain. It was rare to find a genuine Chenghua period daucai porcelain because all the rejected imperial porcelains were destroyed and buried underground. This piece could be one of the rejects but survived after storage for almost 600 years.
