Sin-Iddinam was the son of Nur-Adad, and ruled the crucial Sumerian city of Larsa from 1778-85 BC. The annals record that he campaigned against the kingdoms of Babylon, Ibrat, Malgium and Eshnunna, and at its height, Larsa ruled over between 10 and 15 other kingdoms. Sin-Iddinam is known chiefly for his public works (as on the present barrel).
