A large and impressive Austrian porcelain bowl having footed base. Base can be filled with ice or boiling water to help keep the contents hot or cold when serving. Bowl depicting fox hunt scenes to exterior and stagecoach scene to interior. Transfer design with hand painted embellishment. Flowering elderberry with leaves border design throughout with green band and ground. Hand painted gilt accenting throughout. Both pieces hold green Imperial Crown mark with Vienna mark. Circa late 19th to early 20th century. Measures approx. 9" height including base x 14 1/2" diameter (23cm x 36.8cm). Total weight approx. 5092 grams.
