Description
Four pairs of George III and later silver sugar tongs to include an example by Peter & Ann Bateman, London 1793, a further example embellished with shells and hallmarked William Chawner II, London 1827. Together with a pair of William IV silver Fiddle pattern salt spoons and two further silver salt spoons. Gross weight 6.6 ozt (208 grams). (7).
Condition
Varied state. The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. All items apart from the two singular salt spoons have personal engravings, most of these are worn. Hallmarks also in varied state.
